Rosa Reyna Gonzales, 68
October 18, 1957 – September 18, 2026
Rosa Reyna Gonzales, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2026, at the age of 68. She was born on October 18, 1957, in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Her journey through life took her from Mexico to San Antonio, Texas, and eventually to California, where she made her home in Sacramento.
Rosa went to be with the Lord and is no longer suffering. Though her passing was unexpected, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Rosa was a woman who knew how to enjoy life. She loved her Chai Tea Lattes from Starbucks, getting her hair and nails done, shopping, and watching her favorite novelas. She especially loved buying gifts for her grandchildren and making them feel special. She also enjoyed worshiping Jesus, fellowshipping with others, and spending time with the people she loved.
Rosa had a great sense of humor, a wonderful sense of fashion, and a generous heart. She loved spending time in Monterey, California, and enjoyed good food, especially Mexican food, Kris's barbecue, and sushi.
Rosa leaves behind her three children: Kristoffer and his wife, Angela; Vanessa; and Adrian and his wife, Kimberly, along with her five beloved grandchildren: Devyn, Saxon, Amarisa, Kassia, and Emmitt.
She is also lovingly remembered by her extended family, including the Arriola and Evans families.
Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. Her love, generosity, laughter, sense of humor, faith, and unmistakable style will continue to live on through her family. The memories of the things she loved and the moments they shared will be treasured for generations to come.
Though her passing leaves an emptiness that cannot be filled, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and **no longer suffering**. We mourn her absence, but we celebrate her life and hold onto the hope we have through Jesus Christ that death is not the end.
Final arrangements are currently being made to transport Rosa’s cremated remains to Texas, where she will eventually be laid to rest. A special remembrance gathering will be held for family and loved ones in California, with another remembrance gathering planned for family in Texas at a later date. Details regarding both gatherings will be shared as arrangements are finalized.
“Absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8
Rosa will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
Until we meet again, Mom.
